Puerto Jimenez-Carate-La Leona

After a 2 hour "collectivo" ride (imagine old Toyota Pick-up Truck) over 4x4 roads with dozens of river crossings we arrived in Carate. A 1 hour hike along the beach led us to the La Leona Ranger Station where we put up the tent for the night.
